Primary care in Region Jämtland Härjedalen is organizationally part of the Division of Close Care, together with Ambulance, Public Dental Care, Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Primary care is organized into 4 local care areas, and since January 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated under good and close care. Each local care area is an economic unit led by a manager. Primary care is also responsible for the region's medical advice, youth clinics, and the local care department Näva, all of which are grant-funded. The Primary Care area has the status of a university hospital unit, and thus teaching, supervision, and training of medical students from Umeå University are part of the position.

At our health center, we work in teams and have a person-centered approach with our registered patients. The Torvalla health center is located in Torvalla center and is staffed by nursing assistants, district nurses, specialists in general medicine, social workers, medical secretaries, and physiotherapists. A rehabilitation coordinator, occupational therapist, and dietitian are also part of our staff. We have a Family Center with BVC and MVC in the same building.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you who would like to work with us at the Torvalla health center. Part of the position will currently be placed at the Odensala health center, as we work together. This may change based on the need, with an expected increase in registered patients at the Torvalla health center.

Torvalla has been open for just over a year since its launch in December 2024. We are currently in completely renovated premises with new furnishings. As we are still in the process of building the organization, you will have the opportunity for innovation and the introduction of new working methods based on the needs of our citizens. We do this together with the other staff at the health center, which currently consists of a wonderful team looking forward to continuing to drive the organization forward.

In Primary Care, we work according to the right use of competence, RAK, where psychologists have the opportunity to work at the top of their competence. As a psychologist in Primary Care, you play a very important role in assessing and treating adult patients with mild to moderate mental health issues. You will conduct standard psychological work focusing on assessment, investigation, and treatment. The work is based on evidence-based methods individually, in groups, and via the internet. The group treatments included in our offerings are in stress, anxiety, depression, sleep, pain, good lifestyle habits, and burnout. For several years, we have invested in distance-independent technology with internet-based CBT, which allows for variation and flexibility at work.

It is important for us that you as a psychologist receive a good introduction to the psychology profession. Together, we take advantage of each other's expertise and create good conditions for the patient. Supervision is included, as well as regular meetings with other psychologists in primary care. Region Jämtland Härjedalen has developed clear career paths for professional development and specialization, and as a psychologist in Region Jämtland Härjedalen, you have the opportunity for paid specialist training.

QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed psychologist with a CBT focus and preferably further education in ACT/FACT. We would like you to have specialist training for psychologists. We are looking for someone with drive, curiosity, and a passion for development. You have a team spirit, are independent, and have an interest in primary care. Experience working in primary care is an advantage.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, ability to collaborate, and interest in developing the work.
